Ternyata beneran orang yang di LiveChat ini, bukan mesin. Saya sampai penasaran, saya tutup browser dan saya buka lagi website University of Wollongong Dubai ini kembali. Tunggu sekitar 10 detik, ternyata om Todd muncul lagi!! Kalo ga percaya coba sendiri aja!
Sepertinya memang tugas om Todd adalah menyapa pengunjung website dan memberikan informasi terkait UOWD. Wah hebat yah! Berasa di Omegle, chatting dengan strangers!! Kalo mau beasiswa full, buat calon mahasiswa Indo biasanya apply paralel (apply 2 sekaligus). Jadi:
1. Apply funding by government (Contohnya: LPDP, Erasmus Mundus, dari Embassy, Fulbright, ADS, dll)
2. Apply Universitas tujuan kita
Kenapa?
Kalau beasiswa yang dikasih Universitas jarang banget yang full.
Mereka mau ngasih 75%-100% scholarship aja udah baik banget š
Udah gitu, kalaupun ada scholarship, itu hanya mengcover tuition fee, nggak mengcover akomodasi, biaya hidup, uang wisuda, buku, dll.
Makanya kita tetep perlu apply by government.
Caranya, apply di tanggal yang deketan pada keduanya, wan.
Seandainya..
1. Keterima beasiswa by government aja, maka biasanya kita dikasih kesempatan sampai 1 tahun untuk dapat diterima di Univ yang kita mau.
2. Keterima beasiswa by Universitas aja, maka kita wajib minta LoA (letter of acceptance) yang artinya keterangan kalau kita diterima di univ itu. Kadaluarsanya biasanya 6 bulan – 1 tahun. Jadi klo udah pegang LoA, kita bisa usaha lagi buat apply beasiswa by government. Soalnya, kalaupun udah keterima beasiswa by government, kita tetep harus nyerahin LoA, sebagai bukti kita diterima di univ tertentu. Beasiswa by government biasanya cuma kasih uang aja. Jadi masalah diterima di univ mana, tetep tanggung jawab kita buat nyari sendiri.
3. Kalau langsung keterima dua2 nya, berarti…. Packing! š
